"Denton Wilde Sapte and Dar Al Istithmar present joint session on defaults in Islamic Finance"
(London, United Kingdom, 1 December 2009) - Two leading Islamic finance advisory specialists presented a joint seminar on defaults in Islamic finance and how to deal with them. The breakfast seminar was hosted by Denton Wilde Sapte at their London offices and was attended by a number of City professionals looking to understand the implications of Islamic financial products during turbulent periods. Among other things, the seminar covers the broad Shari'a principles that relate to default and recourse, the practical and legal issues that need to be considered before and after a potential default, standstill agreements and finally the implications of specific Islamic finance products.
